Yanya Caballista came out in 2001, from Koei, who made Steep Slope Sliders back in the 90s, which a lot of people love. This game was released to mixed reviews, like a 7.5 from EGM, and a 4 from IGN. But it has some really interesting concepts. First is the actual gameplay. You don’t just […]
Did you know that cartoons are real? They’re actually shot on camera in a different realm called toon world, and they’re released here as if they’re animated? At least, that’s the concept behind 2003’s Gamecube exclusive Go Go Hypergrind. Get ready to suffer. So yeah, cartoons are all filmed by real cartoon actors in toon […]
I finally did it. This is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5, a game that is a truly depressing and lifeless experience. We all knew it was going to be terrible, but how bad did it really turn out. I’ll show you. Thoroughly. When screenshots first landed for THPS5, it looked bad. Everyone was saying that […]
Today we’re taking a look at Simpsons Skateboarding, a PS2 exclusive from 2002. This came out about a month after Tony Hawk 4, which is pretty impressive actually. This has a very similar setup as that game, where you can free skate until you start a challenge, and that’s when the timer starts. So I […]

I bought this game new, when all the online stuff was still working, but I’m going to review it as if you’re playing it new today. And you can, because it’s backward compatible on Xbox One and it’s still in stores because of that. But I’m going to focus mostly on the offline stuff. You […]

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we take a look at something in the skateboarding world, from learning tricks […]
One of the biggest tragedies of gaming in the PS1 era is Thrasher. This game is the most realistic skateboarding game ever made, even including Skate and even True Skate. It had a ton of potential, but the actual GAME side of it wasn’t very refined. It’s a shame that it never got the sequel […]
Today we’re talking about 2Xtreme, which came out in 1996, and was developed and published by Sony. A lot of people have asked me to talk about this game. It seems like a lot of people have great memories of playing it when they were a kid. It was the first skateboarding game for a […]
