How to Play THPS4 Zero Stats on PS1

You’re going to need a hacked save file to start. Luckily, I have one for you right here:

Inside, you’ll find a file called ‘Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 (USA)_1.mcd’. This is a memory card file used in DuckStation, the PlayStation emulator I used for this playthrough. It may or may not work with other emulators. I can’t say for sure. This is the only one I tested it on.

If you put the file in Documents\DuckStation\memcards, you should be able to fire up the game, load your save, and see a custom character in the game with zero stats.

If that doesn’t work, your best move is to open the game, start a career, then save the game. Check that memcards folder to see what the game generated. It’s possible the file will have a different file name, especially if you have a PAL copy of the game. Rename the hacked file to be exactly the same as the one your game generated, and overwrite it.

Good luck! I can’t offer troubleshooting on it, because I only had to get it working once on one computer, and I didn’t have any problems, so I don’t really know what can go wrong.
