How to Toeflip
Basically a varial kickflip style pressure flip, flicked off your toe. A freestyle flatground trick.
Foot position is probably the most important part of the toeflip. Get that right and the rest comes pretty quickly.
Foot position
- Front foot: right over the front bolts, with your toes hanging off.
- Back foot: right where the tail starts and the concave ends. There’s a dip there, and that’s where the tip of your back toe goes.
How to toeflip
- Put a lot of pressure right on that point under your back toe. The board starts spinning and comes up on one wheel.
- When it does, give it an extra push down and spin it around in a semicircle.
- Let it come around and land on it.
You can practice that motion standing next to the board.
Spin with the board
One thing that helped me when I was first learning: spin your body with the board. That way you don’t really have to think about the shove it part. Wind up, start to spin and just push down, and it works itself out.
Once I got used to that, I worked on the actual technique, and they got pretty simple.

How can I practice the toeflip?
