I said I had to wait until I was having an amazing day to ever play this game again, because it’s so horrible that I couldn’t handle it. Well guess what. Still haven’t had a good day since then. I’m recording this in late December, right around the solstice, when the days are 3 hours […]
How many flips are physically possible on flat? You’ve seen triple flips, and probably quad flips, but what about 5, 6 or 7? With the highest possible jumps and hardest flicks, what’s the most we could ever do? OK, the first thing I needed to figure out was the maximum amount of airtime you can […]
A little bit ago, Mike V posted this really interesting sequence. He’s ollieing up onto a pole, spinning on it, and coming back down. In other words, a Natas spin. What’s interesting about it though, is the date – from Summer 1988. Did Mike invent the Natas spin? So, of course, as we know, the […]
So in my Frankie video, I mentioned that I reached out to him and didn’t get an answer before. A little bit after the video went out, he saw it and replied to me, asking if I had any other questions that he could clear up. I asked you guys on Twitter if you had […]
Andy MacDonald is a really interesting character in skateboarding. He doesn’t really fit in with most pro skaters. He’s a really hard-working professional skateboarder in every sense of the word. In the intro to his book, Tony Hawk makes an interesting point. He basically says that everyone wants their pro skaters to be amazing at […]

People have asked about this for a long time, so I’m going to give you my top ten skate videos of all time. These are all available on the Skately library, which is what I normally use. They have pretty much everything except 411 issues and video parts that Thrasher has posted as a classic. […]
I bought this game new, when all the online stuff was still working, but I’m going to review it as if you’re playing it new today. And you can, because it’s backward compatible on Xbox One and it’s still in stores because of that. But I’m going to focus mostly on the offline stuff. You […]
Frankie Hill is a really interesting character in skateboard history. You don’t hear his name that much in lists of the most influential skaters. And that might be more of a reputation issue. We’ll talk about that later. But some people say he’s just as influential as Gonz and Natas. He took a lot of […]
In the last video about impact and physics, I calculated how much of a drop you could handle before getting hurt. There were a couple of comments from last time that I wanted to talk about up front because I’m going to be using the same numbers this time. A few people asked for clarification […]
